NDTA and USTRANSCOM invite you to register for the 11th annual Fall Meeting at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida, from October 31 to November 3. We are excited to welcome Vice Admiral Andy Kyte CB, Chief of Defence Logistics and Support, who will be coming from the United Kingdom to share his experience and engage with attendees and round out this year’s theme “Advancing Power Projection with Allies and Partners.”

Today, Vice Admiral Andy Kyte serves as Chief of Defence Logistics and Support, United Kingdom, Ministry of Defence.

Vice Admiral Kyte served with the Royal Navy as a Logistics Officer in 1987. Following promotion to Lieutenant Commander in 1996, he joined the Type 22 Frigate HMS CHATHAM supporting two deployments to the Arabian Gulf and the Far East, then served as the Deputy Base Logistics Officer in her Majesty’s Naval Base Devonport.  In 2002 he was promoted to Commander and served on the staff of Flag Officer Sea Training and the UK’s Permanent Joint Headquarters. He joined the amphibious assault ship HMS BULWARK as Commander Logistics and then moved to the Ministry of Defence, responsible for the Navy’s replacement support shipping programme.

As Captain he joined the Army’s 8 Engineer Brigade deploying to Afghanistan as the Deputy Commander, HQ Joint Force Support.  In 2012 Vice Admiral Kyte assumed the post of the Secretary to the First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff. In August 2014, he was promoted to Commodore and appointed Head of Defence Logistic Operations and Capability, responsible for strategic-level logistic planning and direction in support of current and contingent operations. He assumed the role of Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff (Support Operations) and Chief Naval Logistics Officer in 2018 on promotion of Rear Admiral.
