The National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) and the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO) in association with the General Services Administration (GSA) are poised to welcome attendees at the 2024 GovTravels Symposium February 26-28. The event is centered on “The Future of Government Travel: Trends in Sustainability, Innovation and Evolving Technologies”. The symposium’s general sessions will highlight presentations from distinguished keynote speakers and panelists, including Dr. Amir Bagherpour, Managing Director at Accenture Federal Services. Dr. Amir Bagherpour is a recognized technology executive and data scientist and leads Accenture’s Data & AI consulting practice for federal clients. He’s an expert in the development of AI platforms, advanced analytics and data science capabilities across national security, defense, and federal civilian agencies. Prior to Accenture, he was co-founder and partner at an analytics startup that developed predictive software for anticipating global conflict and crises. Dr. Bagherpour served as Director of Advanced Analytics at the Department of State’s Bureau of Conflict & Stabilization Operations. He is a graduate of West Point and served in the U.S. Army as an Armor Officer.
