The Women in Trucking Association (WIT) announced that the Bennett Family of Companies has been recognized as a Top Transportation Company for Women to Work For by Redefining the Road magazine.

According to Brian Everett, publisher of Redefining the Road, there are five key features that distinguish companies recognized on this list: corporate cultures that foster gender diversity; competitive compensation and benefits; flexible hours and work requirements; professional development opportunities; and career advancement opportunities.

“The third year in existence, which is largely driven by the marketplace. The sheer number of individuals in the industry who participated in the process underscores the importance practitioners in the industry place on this award,” said Everett. More than 150 nominations were received, and nearly 13,000 votes were cast to identify the companies named to the list, according to Everett.

“We are proud of the women who work at Bennett. They are an integral part of our workforce, our vision and our future.  This award will help tell our prospective female drivers and employees that we value their contributions in our company.  We are thankful to be recognized for the third year by Women in Trucking as a ‘Top Transportation Company for Women to Work For.’  This is a wonderful organization that advocates for women in our industry and continues to elevate trucking and logistics as great industries for women to thrive in,” said Marcia Taylor, President and CEO of Bennett Family of Companies.

Bennett will be recognized during a special “Top Companies” Virtual Recognition Program at the upcoming Women in Trucking Accelerate! Conference & Expo that will be held November 12-13.
