The GovTravels 2027 Agenda is under development – these are topics we are discussing for general session and tracks for Travel Academy: 

 

Meeting Topics being considered include:

• Resource Optimization – Managing travel systems, improving audit readiness, automating via technology, being proactive, etc.
• Balancing government security with industry capabilities – Discussion outlines the future direction of the government traveler balancing government security with industry capabilities to keep both Federal and DoW traveler safe and secure
• Innovation Without Complexity: Technologies that simplify—not complicate—the travel process – A candid talk on changing expectations, generational shifts, and how duty of care must evolve for the modern federal traveler
• Protecting the Federal Traveler: Security, Data, and Mission Assurance in a Connected World – Examines the evolving U.S. Government security posture for protecting federal travelers and the sensitive information generated through government travel
• Household Goods & Relocation – Addresses permanent Change of Station (PCS) challenges, the new PPA and the role government passenger travel has in the space

Academy Tracks:

• Technology & Innovation – Training and Education in this track will focus on developing the skills related to travel technology and innovation that are shaping the future of the travel industry through current and future capabilities.
• Challenges & Solutions – Learn about the evolving ways industry and government cooperate to manage challenges and disruptions before, during, and after travel.
• Travel Program Management – Training and Education in this track will review tools and processes for efficient travel program management. Understand how to more effectively utilize official travel programs and resources to support travelers
• Travel Policy & Compliance – Training and Education in this track will review industry and government best practices for implementing successful policy and ensuring compliance in travel programs.
