The National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) and the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO), in association with the General Services Administration (GSA), invite you to register for the GovTravels Symposium, February 24 – 27, 2025, at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center Hotel, Alexandria, VA.  This year’s theme, “Change Management: Challenges & Solutions in Government Travel,”focuses on the need for government and industry leaders to effectively manage change, employing creative and innovative solutions to provide government passengers with world-class travel.

The symposium welcomes Mr. Dale Buckner, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President of Global Guardian, LLC.

Mr. Buckner has been leading Global Guardian, LLC since its inception in March 2012. He is a retired U.S. Army Colonel whose 24 years for military services included command positions in five organizations, multiple combat and classified deployments, and extensive experience intelligence, counter-terrorism and special operations.

Mr. Buckner will lead a panel of experts and discuss “Using AI & Technology for Travel Change Management: Responding to Incidents Involving Crime, Weather & Mission.”

The topic will allow attendees to explore how AI and advanced technology are transforming travel management, equipping organizations to respond effectively to incidents involving crime, weather disruptions, and mission-critical needs. Hear from practitioners across the corporate and government sectors as they draw on recent events and real-world experiences to highlight innovative tools and strategies that enhance safety, streamline communication, and support decision-making during unpredictable events. This session empowers government travel managers with insights to maintain continuity and resilience in challenging situations.
