- Naval Research Laboratory Small Business Information Session: NRL and the Virginia APEX Accelerator will host an information session on 7 August for service-disabled veteran-owned, historically under-utilized zone, women-owned and disadvantaged small businesses in research & development, science, technology and engineering. - Intelligence and National Security Alliance Speaker Series: This summer speaker series continues through August and includes events regarding space resiliency, gaining information advantage, and open-source research in national security. For more information on each of the events, click here.
- Baroni Center for Government Contracting: The Baroni Center at George Mason University will host a series of events over the next several months, which include: “Second Sourcing in Defense Acquisitions,” “How Prototypes Are Enabling Innovation for Future Battles,” “Optimizing Incentives for Acquisition Innovation and Agility,” and their “Baroni Center Fall Government Contracting Conference.” For more information and to register, click here.
- Defense Logistics Agency Small Business Outreach / Corporate Events: DLA hosts continually hosts events for small businesses. - NDTA Virtual Chapter Meeting: The US NDTA Virtual Chapter (USNDTAVC) will host its summer meeting August 24 from 2-4 PM (Eastern). Guest speakers Trevor Edwards, Marcus Witowski and Jennifer Miller from the US General Services Administration will discuss Long-term Lodging, Emergency Lodging, how to reference the GSA Schedule from a buyers’ perspective, the DOD Preferred Program, Fedrooms, and Per Diem noteworthy information. - The US Army Training and Doctrine Command, Combined Arms Support Command Inaugural Contested Logistics Industry Week: CASCOM’s Contested Logistics Industry Week will promote fair, even, and transparent communications with industry, academia, and other non-governmental organizations to inform industry on Army sustainment and logistics-related needs and to determine industry capabilities to meet said needs. - The NDTA-USTRANSCOM Fall Meeting: NDTA and USTRANSCOM will co-sponsor their annual Fall Meeting at the Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Florida, from Tuesday, October 31 – Friday, November 3, 2023. The four-day “must-attend” event provides government and industry the opportunity to identify and solve logistics and transportation issues together; learn about innovative technologies, develop best practices, and build professional and personal relationships.
