The National Defense Transportation Association’s Board of Directors has chosen Vice Adm. Andy Brown as the association’s next president and CEO.

“Andy is a respected and experienced logistician with a true appreciation for the association and the defense transportation industry,” said William J. Flynn, Chairman of the Board. “He is a man of great depth and character and we look forward to his leadership in the days ahead.”

Brown recently completed his 37-year naval career as the Director of Logistics on the Joint Staff.

“I’m very privileged and excited to join NDTA,” Brown said. “NDTA plays a critical role in our nation’s preparedness to support global military operations. By strengthening relationships between the military, government and private sector organizations in the logistics and transportation sectors, we strengthen the options available to our senior decision makers. I greatly appreciate Rear Adm. Buzby’s inspirational work over the past three years. We’ll continue to build on his strategic vision to grow NDTA and increase its value to the people and institutions that work tirelessly to protect our great country.”
