NDTA-USTRANSCOM Fall Meeting – Roundtable #2: Space System Logistics

Jul 20, 2021 | From HQ

As we prepare for the NDTA-USTRANSCOM Fall Meeting at the Gaylord National Harbor October 18-21, we want to learn about technologies, business practices, and innovations needed to dominate and win in all domains and environments. One of those domains is Space. By joining us at this event, you will have the opportunity to engage with our Space Roundtable to examine logistics and transportation from the space perspective.

Title: “Logistics Through Space: Challenges in Application”

Description: As USTRANSCOM completes their Cooperative Research and Development Agreement, known as CRADA, to study rapid concepts for moving cargo through space to locations on earth, will we move beyond research and begin a proof of concept? This year’s Space Roundtable attempts to build on last year’s discussion of the possibility to identify actual attempts to begin a proof of principle. What might that look like and what supporting role might the logistics and transportation industry play?

Moderator: Peter Garretson is a Senior Fellow in Defense Studies at the American Foreign Policy Council (AFPC) and a strategy consultant who focuses on space and defense. Prior to joining AFPC, Mr. Garretson spent over a decade as a transformational strategist for the Department of the Air Force, where he served as a strategy and policy advisor for the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, as Division Chief of Irregular Warfare Strategy Plans and Policy, and as the Chief of the Future Technology Branch of Air Force Strategic Planning.

Roundtable members are being finalized, but they will include an exciting mixture of government and industry space experts who will engage with us and shape our thinking about what’s coming in the not-so-distant future.

Early bird pricing ends on August 5th.  Register today https://www.ndtahq.com/events/fall-meeting/registration-2/ to get your registration discount.
