Online, But Just as Interactive
We are now less than a week away from the NDTA-USTRANSCOM Fall Meeting. While this meeting has taken place for several years, 2020 marks the first virtual event. Despite that significant difference, the interactive nature of this event remains. Attendees will still be able to communicate with each other and ask questions of speakers and panels through chat boxes, explore the NDTA expo hall, and participate in a variety of committee meetings. Join us for all the Fall Meeting has to offer:
YOUNG LEADERS
During the Fall Meeting, we invite our young military and industry professionals to attend the Young Leaders Professional Development Session, Thursday, 9:00-10:00 am (CDT), October 8th. It will take place in a Zoom Meeting and is hosted by NDTA. During the session, you will have the opportunity to join a smaller Zoom breakout group to share your career thoughts and ideas and to meet a variety of other participants interested in logistics, transportation, and national defense.
To participate, you must register for the Fall Meeting. Once given access to the meeting’s virtual platform (EOM SEP), select the Young Leaders Professional Development Session on the agenda.
Not required, but if you plan to participate in this event – send us an email at NDTAHQ@ndtahq.com or select the option to attend. If already registered and you would like to attend, you can click the link in your confirmation/receipt. We are looking forward to seeing you there!
COMMITTEES & SUBCOMMITTEES
During the NDTA-USTRANSCOM Fall Meeting, on the afternoon of Thursday, October 8th, participants have the unique opportunity to participate in one of the many open Committee and Subcommittee meetings. The agenda includes meetings of the Cybersecurity Best Practices Committee, Military Distribution Committee, Military Aviation Advisory Committee (MAAC), Military Sealift Committee, Surface Transportation Committee, Rail Subcommittee, and Household Goods Subcommittee.
Like all sessions, these meetings will be held through the Fall Meeting Virtual Platform using Zoom and attendees will have access through the agenda. This is an excellent opportunity to listen in on a committee or subcommittee meeting and learn about the issues they are working to solve.
THE NDTA EXPO
In conjunction with the NDTA-USTRANSCOM Fall Meeting, on October 5-8, 2020, NDTA will hold its annual exposition. Like the Fall Meeting, this year’s expo will be a virtual event. The expo is another opportunity for education and information sharing.
Most exhibitors are vital partners with the military and help provide the most responsive and strategic mobility the world has ever seen. The other exhibitors are the military commands themselves. We encourage you to take advantage of this once a year opportunity to engage with this array of solution providers.
TRANSPORTATION ACADEMY
Approximately 80 classes, discussing a broad range of defense logistics subjects, will be held at Transportation Academy during the Fall Meeting. Courses will cover ten separate topics, including acquisition and finance; combatant commands and security cooperation; commercial logistics; Department of Defense transportation; innovation and analytics; information technology and cyber; leadership and professional development; legislation and policy; interactive workshops and training; as well as Surface Deployment and Distribution Command workshops.
