Data is the most critical cog in the supply chain system. Freeing access to data across multiple industries and consolidating it into a common format will reduce the cost of visibility and tracking. The Port of Long Beach (POLB) and UNCOMN are collaborating to create The Supply Chain Information Highway (SCIH): A data sharing environment located in a secure cloud to curate, validate, and share secure data sets. The liberation of data will enhance POLB’s supply chain partners, both up and down stream, to understand interdependencies and drive efficiencies and optimization.
