In a few short weeks, our NDTA Tampa Bay Chapter will host a charity golf tournament Feb. 19 to raise money for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF).

After we pay our operating expenses, we’ll donate every penny we earn to SOWF. SOWF does a wonderful job making sure that the surviving children of special operations service members who lost their lives in the line of duty or training get full financial educational assistance. The Foundation also provides financial aid to hospitalized special operations personnel.

The Tampa Bay Chapter periodically raises funds for similar causes. This year, when we looked across all the excellent charities that we could partner with, we felt none was more worthy than SOWF. What a better way to spend a Friday afternoon than playing 18 holes of golf, to support some of our nation’s finest warriors and their families in their greatest time of need?

Our tournament will take place at MacDill Air Force Base’s Bay Palms Golf Course, teeing off at 12:30 sharp. NDTA’s national president, retired Rear Adm. Mark H. Buzby, is slated to attend as the guest of honor.

We hope that you’ll join us Feb. 19, either as a golfer or corporate sponsor. You can find additional information, including how to register, at the tournament website. Sponsorships are also welcome, and interested companies and organizations can sign up online or contact us at ndtasponsorship@gmail.com.
