The Surface Port Projection Virtual Conference to Take Place July 29-30
The National Defense Transportation Association (NDTA) and Christopher Newport University’s Center for American Studies jointly present the Surface Force Projection Conference: Enabling Dynamic Force Employment Through Global Port Readiness (SFPC).
Although our in-person conference at CNU was disrupted by COVID-19, we remain committed to focusing on the important topics and will provide an opportunity to educate and work the issues relevant to the government and industry in a revised format. We are holding webinars July 29-30 featuring four SFPC keynote speakers. Each webinar will be scheduled for approximately two hours and will feature two speakers supported by NDTA and SDDC leadership who will shape and guide the discussion. Audience participation will take place during a Q&A period.
The conference brings together U.S. government and industry subject matter experts in logistics and transportation to examine the challenges associated with the dynamic force employment of forces and equipment in support of U.S. national security objectives.
“The National Defense Strategy directs the Joint Force to ‘introduce unpredictability to adversary decision-makers through Dynamic Force Employment.’ Dynamic Force Employment allows us to develop a wide range of proactive, scalable options and quickly deploy forces for emerging requirements while maintaining readiness to respond to contingencies.” — General Joseph F. Dunford Jr., USMC, 19th chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
Once again, we will team with SDDC, MARAD, and AAPA. Come and participate in virtual discussions as we work together to identify and solve tough challenges, find creative and innovative ways to enable greater warfighter readiness, and improve our deployment options to respond and operate in a global, multi-domain, contested environment.
