Speaker: General Gary M. Brito, USA, Commanding General
U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Eustis, Virginia
As the Commanding General of the US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Army General Gary M. Brito is responsible for building and sustaining a highly trained, disciplined, and fit Army by acquiring the best people, training the most lethal Soldiers, developing the most professional leaders, guiding the Army’s culture, and shaping the future force. In this video, taken during the 2023 Surface Force Projection Conference (SFPC), GEN Brito provides his thoughts about large scale deployments and sustainment operations.
The SFPC is an annual event co-hosted by NDTA and Christopher Newport University’s Center for American Studies (CNU CAS), in cooperation with the Maritime Administration (MARAD), the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC), commercial industry, and academia. Each year the event brings together US government and industry logistics and transportation experts, and members of the Joint Logistics Enterprise (JLE), to examine a wide range of challenges associated with operating in and through the contested environment to provide US capability at the point of need.
