William (Bill) Paape, a member of the Senior Executive Service, became the Associate Administrator for Ports & Waterways on June 7, 2020. In this capacity, Mr. Paape directs a national port infrastructure modernization program in excess of $2 billion—a program that includes RAISE, INFRA, Port Infrastructure Development, and Marine Highway discretionary funds. Mr. Paape is responsible for the continued development of America’s Marine Highway initiative and manages the Agency’s offshore energy licensing projects (the Deepwater Port Program).
