Travel Academy Sessions Explore Pandemic’s Impact on Government Travel
The business of government moves on during the COVID-19 pandemic, while travelers and their employers are naturally concerned about travelers’ health during these times. “A Panel on Travel Safety and Health” with Island Hospitality, CWTSatoTravel, Enterprise Holdings, and United Airlines will discuss preparedness for travel and utilization of apps and electronics to help the industry accommodate operations to the “new normal.” The Department of State’s Office of Travel Management will offer “U.S. State Department Overseas Evacuations,” an overview on the relocation of U.S. citizens during security or health or weather-related events. “Data and Pandemic Travel” will be the focus of a panel with Sabre, CWTSatoTravel, the General Services Administration, and International SOS discussing data and tools available to support travel managers to make informed and confident decisions for their customers.
