GSA Rideshare/Ride-hail Program Update, General Services Administration
Speaker: Ronda Boatright, Office of Travel, Employee Relocation, and Transportation, US General Services Administration (GSA)
GSA’s Division of Travel Management provides government-wide travel programs in air, lodging, online travel management, data reporting, and travel agency services to support customer agencies in efficiently and effectively managing their travel claims. In the final session of GovTravels LITE, Ms. Ronda Boatright of GSA’s Office of Travel, Employee Relocation, and Transportation, provided an update on GSA Rideshare/Ride-Hail Programs.
In 2020, GSA awarded a government-wide Rideshare/Ride-Hail Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to Uber and Lyft. These BPAs modernized official travel and made it easier and cheaper to use rideshare services for official travel.
During the session, Boatright explored agency-specific use cases using the ride-share solution for TDY and how the solution augments fleet and shuttle. A high-level overview described how easy it is for agencies to get started with ride share. In addition, Boatright shared details on key factors such as sustainability, market trends, reporting, and safety.
