Generational Change at the Helm of Liberty Maritime
(Liberty Maritime Corporation) Liberty Maritime has announced the appointment of Josh Shapiro as the company’s new President and Chief Executive Officer and Brooke Shapiro as its Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Philip Shapiro, Liberty’s founder and its former President and CEO, will now transition to Chairman of the Board of the company.
(DHL) DHL and New York University’s Stern School of Business have released the new DHL Global Connectedness Report 2024, the most comprehensive available analysis of globalization’s state and trajectory. It tracks how flows of trade, capital, information, and people move around the world and measures the globalization of 181 countries and territories.
(United Airlines) United recently announced it is expanding its leading global route network, adding new non-stop flights between New York/Newark-Marrakesh, Morocco; Tokyo/Narita-Cebu, Philippines and Houston-Medellin, Colombia. United will also increase flying to popular destinations across the globe including Hong Kong; Seoul, South Korea and Porto, Portugal. Additionally, the airline will add four weekly flights between Los Angeles and Shanghai as the Chinese and U.S. governments recently agreed to increase flights between the two countries.
