Global Household Goods Contract On Track for 2024 Peak Moving Season
The Global Household Goods Contract (GHC) domestic phase-in process is on schedule following its mid-April launch. As of May 13, the Department of Defense (DOD) had sent 28 task orders to HomeSafe, the primary GHC contractor, for shipment requests submitted across the initial sites for move dates between April and June. Military Movers Urge DoD, Congress to Pause Household Goods Contract
(Federal News Network) Many of the companies who currently handle military household goods moves have been vocal in their criticism of DoD’s new contract to overhaul the system. Up until now, they’ve been pressing the department to make changes to the Global Household Goods contract (GHC). Now though, under the auspices of a new coalition called Movers for America, they’re looking to stop its implementation altogether.
Trailer Bridge Awarded Multi-Million Dollar USTRANSCOM PORTS Contract
(Trailer Bridge) Trailer Bridge, Inc., a full-service transportation provider headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, today announced United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) has awarded the company the Port Operations and Related Transportation Services (PORTS) Contract to provide commercial port operations and transportation services in locations outside the continental U.S. (OCONUS).
(Enterprise Mobility) Enterprise Fleet Management has announced the official opening of five new locations across North America to support a growing client base. The fleet management business, which saw 12% growth in 2023, continues to expand its presence reaching a milestone of 700,000 vehicles on lease in March 2024.

Leidos and Elroy Air to Demonstrate Autonomous Aerial Resupply Drone for U.S. Marine Corps
(Leidos) Leidos and Elroy Air, an autonomous aircraft systems and software development company, have been approved to demonstrate an autonomous Medium Aerial Resupply Vehicle – Expeditionary Logistics (MARV-EL) prototype for the Navy and Marine Small Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems program office (PMA-263).
