Old Lessons for New Maritime Statecraft
(War on the Rocks) From the onset of the Cold War through the 1980s, then from the “unipolar moment” through the long wars of the 21st century, the U.S. Navy operated with the same congressionally mandated mission. Despite major changes in the world, Congress did not see fit to adjust the Navy’s formal mission as defined in Title 10 of the U.S. Code in 1956. But now, amidst a much-discussed shift toward great power competition, the Navy is finally receiving a new mission.

IANA Launches On-Line Intermodal Course for Members
[Intermodal Association of North America (IANA)] IANA has developed an on-line intermodal course available to its members. This educational resource, provides a primer to intermodal freight transportation and covers topics such as Seaport Operations, Container Terminal Operations, Truck Transport and Rail Operations.
(Maersk) A.P. Moller – Maersk and Kodiak Robotics, have launched the first commercial autonomous trucking lane between Houston and Oklahoma City. The freight lane marks an expansion of the collaboration between the two companies, which began with their first autonomous freight deliveries together in November 2022 as part of Maersk’s Global Innovation Center Program.
(HomeSafe Alliance) HomeSafe Alliance has launched its HomeSafe Connect Academy to prepare for upcoming moves. Through this 24/7 learning management system, HomeSafe is now training moving industry service providers to use its HomeSafe Connect technology platform.
